Are you interested in being a member of the Belleville Henderson Central School Board of Education?
Below is a link that contains a petition for membership to the Belleville Henderson Central School Board of Education that was drafted by the District Clerk. However, ANY petition with the name, physical address and phone number of the district resident running for the Board of Education, along with twenty-five (25) signatures and physical addresses of district residents, is necessary. (If you wish, you may have more than twenty-five (25) signatures.) The petition MUST be filed by April 22, 2013 at 5:00 PM to the District Office. (The petition will be dated and signed when received.) Along with the petition, you must include the 1st Expenditure Statement and Panther Press Newsletter questionnaire (found below). The District Clerk will draw for determination of order for listing the Board of Education candidates on the ballot and file for records on April 23, 2013. The District Clerk will notify the candidates, via a letter, of the ballot order.
The Expenditure Statement requires a Notary Public. Kathy Sidmore, Treasurer, is Belleville Henderson Central School's Notary Public. Please call 846-5826, to set up an appointment, if you wish for her to notarize. An Expenditure Statement MUST be filed with the District Clerk, as well as, with the Commisioner of State Education three (3) times; April 22, 2013, May 16, 2013 and June 10, 2013 (whether you are awarded candidacy or not). This is a REQUIRMENT by the New York State Education Department. Thank you.
The questionnaire is not a requirement, but is highly encouraged. It is a way for the public to read, get to know and understand your platform. It is also highly recommended that you speak for no more than five (5) minutes at the Budget Hearing on Monday, May 13, 2013, to be held in the BHCS Auditorium.
