SEPTEMBER COLLECTIONS ARE BY MAIL OR AT SCHOOL THROUGH OCTOBER 1ST
 

TAX NOTICE

Assessment rolls of Belleville Henderson Central School District, County of Jefferson, State of New York, for 2016 upon which the assessment and tax appears, was fixed by the Board of Education for the year 2016.  The total amount of assistance estimated to be received from the State of New York by the above named School District during the year ending June 30, 2017 is $4,213,326.

 

PENALTY PERIODS:

September 1st through October 1st - NO PENALTY

October 2nd through October 31st - 2% PENALTY

 After October 31st , all unpaid taxes will be returned to the County for collection, at which time the following penalties will be assessed:  2% Local and 7% County

 

COLLECTION LOCATION AND HOURS:

Belleville Henderson Central School, located at 8372 County Route 75, Belleville, NY

September 1 – October 1: Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8:00 am -4:00 pm.  No hours between 11:30am -12:30 pm.

                                

October 2 – October 31:  By mail only

 

METHODS OF PAYMENT

By mail:  Return lower portion of bill.  If receipt is requested, please return the entire tax bill.

THIRD PARTY NOTIFICATION

If you are either 65 years of age or older or disabled and you own and occupy a 1, 2, or 3 family residence, you may designate a consenting adult third party to receive duplicate copies of your tax bills and notices of unpaid taxes until further notice.  Applications may be obtained in person from your tax collecting officer or County Real Property Tax Service or by mail if you include with your request a self-addressed, stamped envelope.  Applications for third party notifications must be filed with the tax collecting officer no later than July 15.
