Buildings and Grounds

 The Buildings & Grounds Department is dedicated to ensuring that our school district’s facilities and outdoor spaces are safe, clean, welcoming and well-maintained. The department oversees everything from custodial services and general maintenance to grounds care, athletic field upkeep, building upgrades, preventative maintenance, and health & safety compliance. Our goal is to provide students, staff and visitors with a physical environment that supports learning, growth, and community engagement.

We manage:

• Daily cleaning and upkeep of all interior building spaces (classrooms, offices, common areas)

• Mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and other system maintenance and repair

• Lawn care, landscaping, playgrounds, athletic fields, parking lots, sidewalks and outdoor campus grounds

• Snow removal, turf maintenance, line painting, outdoor lighting, and site safety

• Long-range facility planning, preventive maintenance programs and capital improvement projects

• Health, life, safety and code compliance (including indoor air quality, pest management, asbestos/lead monitoring, etc.)

• Facility use scheduling for community events and building rentals (as applicable)
