Belleville-Henderson is proud to partner with PIVOT Health to support the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of our students. The PIVOT Educator serves as a school-based health and wellness resource, providing prevention education, skill-building, and support to help students make healthy choices for life.

About PIVOT Health

PIVOT Health is a community-based organization that partners with schools across Jefferson and Lewis Counties to promote healthy lifestyles and positive decision-making among youth. The program focuses on prevention, early intervention, and resiliency.

What the PIVOT Educator Does at Belleville Henderson

  • Teaches age-appropriate lessons on mental health, substance use prevention, nutrition, and wellness

  • Provides small-group and classroom education focused on coping skills, self-esteem, and making positive choices

  • Collaborates with teachers, counselors, and families to support a healthy school environment

  • Connects students and families with community health resources when additional support is needed
