    Cell Phones/Electronic Communication/Telephone Use

Students are permitted to bring cell phones to school. However, BHCS is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged cell phones. Students are not allowed to use cell phones during regular school hours, scheduled after school activities (AIS, detention, review class, etc.) or on regular bus routes. Cell phones should be kept out of sight and turned off during the instructional day.

Students are not to bring beepers, scanners, pagers, walkie talkies, or any electronic devices into school or to have such a device in their possession on school grounds, unless expressly approved in writing by the school's principal. Such permission rests solely with the principal, and the principal cannot consider any kind of approval without at least receiving a written request from the parent or legal guardian.

Ipods, MP3 players and CD players can be listened to on the bus only. These devices and similar devices are not allowed during the instructional day, including study halls or hallways. Disruptive use of these items will result in the loss of this privilege. The school is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged electronics.

Cameras and audio-visual devices may not be used the during the regular school day without permission from administration unless it is part of a class activity.

Use of the office phones is limited to emergency situations and not for personal calls. In the event a student receives a call, he/she will be called out of class only in the case of an emergency.
