    What is Banana Splits?
Banana Splits is a nation wide group developed to assist students who are living in separated/divorced families.  At Belleville Henderson, this group is offered to students in grades K-6, and gives them an opportunity to learn methods of communicating and dealing with their feelings.  Weekly projects and activities that focus on separation/divorce are implemented.  Through Banana Splits children begin to understand that they are not alone, and there may be someone in their own class who is in the same situation.

Banana Splits is a full-year group offered during elementary lunchtimes.  Groups are split into individual grade levels and meet one time per week.  Parents may refer their children to this group at any point in the school year by contacting Erica Pettit.
